The 2020 Night to Shine season is off to a great start with behind-the-scenes planning! Thanks to many of you, volunteer spots have started to fill for the Boutique, and the formal wear donations are pouring in. Thank you so very much. I've said it so many times, but in my opinion, the Boutique is second to none. It's nearly impossible for me to articulate why that's the case. Suffice to say, this experience brings so much profound joy to each of the participants, that it just oozes over to all the volunteers as well! It is just such a peaceful, grounding, beautiful place to be: serving others who are genuinely grateful to the depth of their core.
We are trusting God to provide all the needs--it's a list we can't possibly anticipate and prepare for in advance of the day. But what we need first and foremost is the prayers of each of you. Pray for decent weather that day, pray that each participant will feel loved, for safety, and that each person will walk out feeling lovely, unique, and confident. The Lord has answered these prayers every year, and I am blown away anew each time.
If you're interested in donating, drop off is best in the church lobby (there is a rack set up). If that doesn't work for you, please reach out to me or Morgan Wellspring. If you're interested in volunteering (we still have more spots to fill), the requirements are simple: come with a servant's heart and willingness to be flexible with our guests. We are asking for a 3 or 4-hour work shift, but we understand this won't suit everyone's schedule. If you'd love to serve but have any questions or issues at all, please grab either one of us for a quick chat, or reach us by phone, text or email. Thank you all for your support!
